1. Research about the company which you are interviewing for. You should focus on the main products of the company, the job profile you are applying for etc. This will give you an insight of the company and it will come in handy during the interview process.
2. Rehearse with mock interviews at home or in your class. Prepare for the basic interview questions and rehearse in front of your family or your friend. This will help you to answer the interviewer questions more precisely without getting stuck in middle.

                Some of the basic questions which are commonly asked in the interview are

• Tell me about yourself?
• What is your greatest strengths and your weaknesses?
• Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
• Why do you want to join us?
• Any questions you want to ask us?

                So by preparing answers to these questions you will be more confident to attend the interview.

3. Dress professionally and reach interview location on time: This is the most important tip and many freshers ignore this or they do not know. As the saying goes, first impression is the best impression hold true for any job.
    A well ironed dress, with polished shoes or sandals will leave a good impression on the interviewer.  Avoid bright colors and bold prints at any cost. Also have a well-groomed hair style and smile on your face.

                This is important because you will be the representative of the company in future and how will you present your self will have great impact on the image of the company in front of its clients.

4. Prepare yourself to ask questions. This comes in handy when interviewer finishes their questions, he will ask you that “Do you have any questions for me?”

You can ask the questions about the following topics

• The roles and responsibilities
• Training programs offered
• Company and it’s future growth plan
• Extracurricular activities or facilities provided

Please keep in mind that never ever ask any personal questions about interviewer, which includes asking about their salary, family and personal life.

Do not ask questions regarding your salary as it is only discussed with the HR and not with the technical interviewer.

5. Be a good listener, answer politely and to the point. Being a good listener require lot of patience and practice. Never interrupt the interviewer between the questions and allow interviewer to finish his talk.

                It is believed that being a good listener makes one to answer the questions more precisely.

                Also be calm, patient and answer to the point politely to leave a great impact on the interviewer. Do not argue with the interviewer.

6. Ensure to follow – up after the interview, you can send two emails. One immediately after the interview thanking for the opportunity provided. Another email you must send if you don’t get a call back from the interviewer. Do not get frustrated or show your frustration in the email, just ask for the feedbacks and work on them to be better prepared for next time.
